Learning Traditional Irish Music in San Diego

As a beginner in playing traditional Irish music, I've found some wonderful teachers and great places to hear and play the music in San Diego, as well as helpful web sites for listening to particular tunes or finding free sheet music.

Here are tune recordings from Michael Eskin and Elaine Thompson's traditional Irish music class here in San Diego. In updates coming soon, I'll list web sites I've found helpful as well as venues for listening and playing in seisiun in San Diego.

Tune Recordings

At Acoustic Expressions from late 2004 to early 2006, Michael Eskin and Elaine Thompson taught San Diego seisiun tunes in the traditional way -- by ear.

Recordings were made with a Sony ICD-ST25 digital recorder and converted to 11 kHz 16-bit monaural WAV format using Digital Voice Editor V. 2.27. Michael Eskin provided the mp3 versions.
